3-stage arms endorsement

Earning The Vote Of Confidence Rotary Lift recently announced their 2-Post Surface Lifts and SmartLift® In-Ground Lifts with 3-stage arms have been endorsed by a number of vehicle manufacturers, such as GM, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi. In order to safely raise a vehicle with a 2-post surface or in-ground lift, you must ensure each lift arm contacts the vehicle's designated lift points, and failure to do so not only can damage the vehicle, but can also put your safety at risk. According to the company, on some vehicles (especially those with shorter wheelbases, wider vehicle track widths or lower profiles), recommended lift points can be difficult to reach with standard 2-stage lift arms. Rotary's 3-stage arms offer:

  • An increased arm sweep due to its 3 telescoping sections, which provide a greater range of extension and retraction, therefore broadening the span of vehicle pick-up points.
  • Improved flexibility for you in regard to switching lift applications between 1 type of vehicle to another—like from a compact car to an SUV—with less adjustments.
  • The capability to lift Corvette, Cadillac XLR Roadster, Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice models that, according to Rotary, standard 2-stage arms can't.
  • Extensive testing that proves only 3-stage arms can lift all Mercedes-Benz vehicles safely.
